The 3 version of WordPress was recently released
The 3.0 version brings in a very welcome change by now allowing one to set the  administrative username and password during installation. The old process almost always included using the the randomly generated password and changing it immediately on first log in and then creating the actual everyday admin account.

The last couple of revisions provided a reminder to change it when you were using the autogen password but this new feature saves a couple of steps and the bother of creating a new user.
